All decisions are made with the best intentions for the organization as a whole 2. Customer Relations i. We will do our best to make sure that every customer is satisfied. ii. Whether it is a lesson plan or a full assembly, we will do our best to make sure everything goes smoothly. 3. Society or the wider community i. The company’s obligations to protect and preserve the environment. ii. Spread education into our communities iii. Provide only factual information
Human Resources Description: 1. Recruitment and Employee Selection i. Advertising a. Professors will recruit within their departments for students b. Once a year the organization will have an official recruitment campaign on campus. (Similar to how the Greek Life recruit, sign up tables, etc c. Members will periodically have media bursts about joining the organization -Posters, banners, The Voice, BUNow, etc -Open door policy, members can join at any point during the semesters. ii. Interview Process a. Applicants must prove to be in academic good standing before process begins b. Applicants interviews with board of directors. This is more to see what area they may fit best and also to make sure this is someone who will be a good new addition iii. Employment Requirements a. Applicants must be in academic good standing b. A related major is helpful (education, sciences, writing, communications, etc)
Leadership Description: 1. Decision Making i. We make decisions as a team within the organization a. This means everyone within the organization has a say. Every team member voice counts and must be heard. In order our business to be a success, it takes a team to work together to accomplish goals ii. Some decisions may need to be collaborated upon with Bloomsburg University iii. Our organization does what’s best for our group and for our audience. a. What this means is as a company we come to agreements by a tally of votes. This way it’s considered fair, reasonable, and gives everyone an opportunity to participate. iv. A voting process will be used for all decision making processes. If a tie vote occurs it can be solved in two ways: a. Professor (seniority) has final say. b. Draw straws or something equally fair and kind of fun (thumb wresting, etc)

Good Morning everyone,
While each of us is concentrating on another document (or documents), the business plan (again, or set of business plans) for each of the companies is the most essential part of what we will be working on during the remainder of the summer. It is my hope that we will be placing a significant number of word documents and drafts here. My suspicion is that Ed will use a substantial part of what we are writing, but perhaps not all. In addition, he will probably add some things after we have finished. As such, I think the best course of action will be to create as complete of a business plan as we can. In addition, it is my intention that we create a sort of business plan for our own 501(c) corporation that will take some of the ideas that Ed has noted in the Solar Manhattan Project (and yes we will provide citation for the idea).
As you know there are business plans and we have divided up the work for the business plan for Hyriser as a beginning. It is my intention to have a draft of things. As you noted in what he gave us, there are significant pieces missing as such, we will need to research and come up with some of our own understanding of the finances. I think this is a good research project because we come up with realistic numbers and not just some numbers that are dreams or significant exaggerations.
As I noted last Thursday, you all had some work to do. I would like you to cut and place the charts from his business plan here as well as then adding updated and more accurate information. Most simply put, this is the "gathering place" for all research and other work we might plan to do on the business plan. I know he has more information he wants to give us. It will be important when we do meet with him to get into specifics and take as clear notes as possible (I can see the looks on your faces already). Again, after those sessions, we will brainstorm to come up with what we found germane and then follow up as needed. Again, I think some really useful documents can be created that will assist you in what you need.

Hello from Wisconsin and a place called Caribou Coffee, This is the very place I wrote the majority of my dissertation.
I am adding some URLs for Business Plans for Non-profits. This is just one of the things I would like to focus on during our Skype meeting on June 21st, which is at 1:00 p.m. your time. I would like to spend about an hour. so please do have a place where you can hear and focus.
As you are looking through these things, please thin of the section you were asked earlier to focus on. I am still planning that we will do the same sections have something together as a draft soon. By soon I would like to have a draft placed on this page two weeks from tomorrow. If my calculations are correct that is the day after the 4th of July holiday. When reading through these pages please take the time to consider the part you are writing and how what you already know is appropriate in this venue also.
If you have questions about what you are doing, I am certainly willing to meet with you by Skype at another time in addition to our Thursday meeting.

Thank you for the luncheon meeting today. I think we have a strong game plan ahead. As you look at the templates in the above announcement, what I would prefer you focus on is the consistency in those templates and write an entry below about what you see and why it is important.
As we discussed at lunch the name of the non-profit (which might have to be tweaked depending on the university requirements) will be "The Alternative Energy Education Project" and it is sponsored by Bloomsburg University. I think this will work, though I will follow up on the specific things required when you are doing a 501c as an state institution.
I do want to come up with a mission statement and a set of outcomes for the organization and I do believe we can accomplish that through collaborative work here. So . . . . please look at the idea of a Board of Directors (BOD) also. As we have discussed, it should be a combination of faculty, students, and probably educators in the area. There is a change as Jordan is no longer with us and we will need to work on the division of labors a bit. I think we was doing sections three and four, if my memory serves we correctly.
With that in mind, I would like to have rough drafts of your sections and I will look at the sections for which Jordan was to be responsible and provide some initial writing for you to continue working on. I would like to have those drafts over the weekend. I know that is a bit short, but I will work as the editor for all of you to manage a single voice.
